Henrik is a thoughtful and funny kid and having autism is only one of the many things that make him the treasure that he is!

I’m an independent singer/songwriter, and I was diagnosed with autism last year. While not knowing about it for so long was a strange experience, finding out about it helped me fall more into who I am. While the overwhelm can be intense, the sensitivity can help me see things in ways that I have grown to appreciate.

I am an autistic Jewish mother. My Judaism and autism meet in my practice of tzniut; I do not necessarily cover my elbows or collarbone, and I don't cover my hair every day, but I have always been a modest person. Some days, that means jeans, a T-shirt, and a bandana; others it means a dress and a tichel over my hair. Regardless, it reminds me of who I am as an autistic Jewish woman. 

Diego is five years old. He is a fast learner who loves to go to the park and swing. He goes to school and ABA therapy - his days are very busy! Sometimes the easiest things will be hard for him, but the more complex things he is able to do. Autism is challenging at some points, but we love how he sees the world in a different way.

Austin is Autistic! This has taught our family to slow down, to find the joy in the little moments, to celebrate little milestones. I truly believe God created Autistic people to help the world see people through a different lens. It has taught our family to be more patient, understanding, and trust God through this process.

Amillion is a very happy and playful girl. Autism brings out her personality in the best way. She is full of laughs and has an amazing imagination. She loves her friends and family. Everyone in Amillion’s life enjoys being around her. Her heart is full of love and acceptance of others.
