Kylar (Age 11, He/Him)

Kylar is nonverbal, has ADHD and Autism. He was diagnosed at a young age. By three, he was in 40 hours of ABA as well as speech, occupational therapy, and food therapy. He uses sign language or his "talker" to communicate, but can hum any tune.

Kylar loves bubbles, water, being outside, seeing how many lighthouses he can visit and being in charge of the music anywhere we go. He enjoys school, loves his family, and is quite the charmer. His smile is contagious, and he's often the comic relief at home. His giggles fill our home, and oftentimes you can hear him singing the songs of his people.

Kylar may never get married or have kids; he may never even leave my home, but Kylar has proven time and time again that it's what he can do that means the most. He is the happiest, smartest, most stubborn person I know. He reads people so well and makes you earn his trust. That boy is loyal to the core and will do anything to make you smile. Love needs no words. Kylar is proof of that every day.
